The Virtus Voyager Sails at Plywood Cup

On July 1st the 15th annual Plywood Cup took place at Wascana Lake to raise funds for Pediatric Services in Regina’s hospitals. Teams had an hour and a half to construct a boat from plywood, duct tape, and nails before having to race the boat across Wascana Lake.

Virtus Voyagers 2019

The Virtus Voyagers comprised of Cole Fornwald, Craig Reed, Brill Assman and Teagan Cook crafted a sturdy ship with no leaks! Teagan was able to paddle the entire duration of the race to get the team to a 9th place finish.

The Virtus Voyagers raised a total of $3,775 this year. A big thanks to everyone who donated to the Virtus Group team. Your generosity not only supported a great cause but also helped the Virtus Voyager get a better starting position.
