Tyson is the Principal of Agriculture Services in the Regina office with over 11 years of public practice experience. He specializes in farm profitability analysis, AgriStability preparation and analysis, family farm transition/succession planning, and tax planning advice to agriculture clients. His primary client focus ranges from large multi-generational farming operations to smaller single farm producers. His experience covers a variety of producers from crop to livestock to mixed farm and dairy operations.
Tyson started with Virtus in October of 2020 and previously was employed at a national firm in Regina for 11 years. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce in 2009 and earned his professional designation as a Chartered Accountant in 2012.
Growing up on a farm in Southeast Saskatchewan, Tyson gained practical hands-on experience interacting with producers from a young age. He continues to be involved with his family’s farm business from an accounting and advisory role. He has a passion for agriculture and the value that producers provide to society.
Outside of the office, Tyson spends most of his free time with his wife and three kids who love to camp in the summertime and are involved in various athletic and musical programs throughout the year. Tyson enjoys being active by playing soccer, badminton, or rock climbing with friends.
