Doug began public practice in 1979 and became a Partner with the firm in 1982. In 2008, Doug was awarded the prestigious Fellowship Chartered Professional Accountant designation, in recognition of his leadership within his profession. With more than 30 years of professional accounting service experience to his credit, Doug recently transitioned from being a Partner to a Senior Consultant role within the firm.
Doug is a longstanding member of the Taxation Committee and a Professional Development Instructor for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Saskatchewan (CPA Saskatchewan). He has served CPA Saskatchewan as a member of the Professional Development Committee and as the Saskatchewan representative on the Canada Revenue Agency Tax Professionals Advisory Committee. In recognition for his excellence in leadership positions, Doug received the Distinguished Community Service Award from CPA Saskatchewan in 2005.
Doug has served the community in executive positions for Sask Sport, the Western Canada Summer Games and been on the Board of Directors for Football Saskatchewan. He is the past President and a current board member of the University of Regina Rams Football Club. Currently he is the Past Chair of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit & Finace Committee for Group Medical Services.
Doug works primarily with owner managed businesses and professional clients, with a concentration on income tax, succession and estate planning.
In his leisure time, Doug enjoys spending time with family, traveling to visit his two young grandchildren and supporting his favourite college football club, the Regina Rams.
