Kelly began his career as a Chartered Professional Accountant in public practice in 1988 and became a Partner with the firm in 1995. With more than 30 years of professional accounting service experience to his credit, Kelly recently transitioned from being a Partner to a Senior Consultant role within the firm.
Kelly specializes in providing tax planning and business advisory services for his many professional and entrepreneurial clients. His primary client focus is in mid sized owner managed businesses, with a concentration in corporate tax, estate planning and value added strategic advisory services. Areas of client concentration include manufacturing, automotive dealerships, professionals and retail. Kelly appreciates that every client is unique and has issues that concern them no matter how big or small they may seem. He particularly enjoys being able to assist clients in solving their business and personal issues and give reassurance that they are on the right track.
Kelly has served the community as a longstanding member of the Saskatoon St.Paul’s Hospital Foundation, Board of Directors and Chair of its Audit and Finance Committee, and past Director of Misty Developments Inc, the economic development corporation for the Mistiwasis First Nation. Currently he sits as a director on The Morris Foundation, a large private foundation assisting in mental health for young adults in Western Canada.
Kelly is an advising member of the firm compensation, planning and taxation committees. In 2017 he obtained his Trust and Estate Practitioner Designation (TEP).
Kelly and his wife Tammy, an Associate with the firm, have been involved in the growth of the firm for more than 20 years. When they aren’t working on the business, they are usually busy with their two active university aged daughters or planning their next great travel adventure.
