Shane is a Partner with Virtus Group in our Regina office and has been in public practice since 2002. Shane’s primary client focus is with owner managed enterprises providing them with business advisory, tax planning, succession planning and financial solutions advice. Shane enjoys building strong business relationships with his clients helping to ensure they achieve their personal financial goals.
Born and raised in rural Saskatchewan, Shane has a strong understanding of the issues facing the agricultural industry. Shane provides his specialized expertise to his agriculture clients along with clients in various other industries including oil and gas, construction and trade, food services and various other retail trade and service businesses.
A graduate from SIAST with an accounting diploma and the Laurentian University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, Shane went on to acquire his Certified General Accountant designation in 2007. Starting with the firm in 2005, Shane joined the partnership group in 2015. A strong drive for personal professional development, Shane completed the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada in-Depth Tax Program in 2013. Shane shares his tax expertise by sitting as a member on the firm’s Tax Committee.
When Shane isn’t at the office he enjoys traveling with his wife, walking and jogging with his dog, golfing, volleyball and playing softball with the Virtus Group Amigos.
