Saskatchewan Small Business Emergency Payment Program (SSBEPP)

The Saskatchewan government opened applications Monday for a new program that can provide up to $5,000 to businesses that were required to temporarily close or significantly curtail their operations due to the COVID-19 public health order – the Saskatchewan Small Business Emergency Payment Program (SSBEPP). The SSBEPP aims to provide cash flow to a wide variety of businesses that have suffered reduced revenue in order to help offset costs being incurred until they can reopen when the order is lifted. The amount to be claimed under SSBEPP is based on 15% of the business’s monthly revenue from either April 2019 or February 2020 and can be received in addition to support amounts being claimed or received from the Federal government.
